TheDeluxe Survival Fire Starting/Stove Kit is the perfect lightweight and comprehensive system for emergency and survival firestarting, contained in one simple package.
At the core of this kit is the Sparkie Firestarter from Ultimate Survival Technologies, which provides one-handed operation in the event of injury.
This is followed by a generous supply of 8 Wetfire Tinder cubes, individually wrapped. These cubes are an odorless, smokeless fuel-tinder designed for the military. They can be easily put out and reused when needed, and only a small amount will start most fires. A Wetfire Tinder Camp Stove provides the means to establish a stable fire-starting and maintenance platform for use as a stove with a metal container, such as our Olicamp Space Saver Cup (not included), or any tin cans one runs across in the bush (a common find). Of course, that combination can be used to boil and purify water and prepare food, which are vital tasks. Two waterproof containers of NATO issued survival matches (25 per tube) are also included. These matches will burn for approximately 12 seconds each and will light and sustain fire in high winds. Finally, the entire kit is contained in a waterproof sil-nylon pouch that has a zipper with an easy pull cord (for use with gloves or mittens), and a clip so that the kit can be securely attached to yourself, or your gear. The bag contains extra room to store more gear, or to store dry tinder one finds along the way and keep it dry. CONTENTS:
(1) Sparkie Firestarter:
Features one-handed operation (in case of injury) in a lightweight, compact design. Striker tab enclosure and spark bar. The compact body has a rubberized grip wrap giving you maximum control and comfort during use.
Sparkie is easily operated by pressing down on the thumb tab, which houses the striker, and plunging the striker down the misch metal spark bar. The striker is set at the perfect angle to achieve maximum sparks and requires less force than traditional flint and steel two-handed fire starters. Color: Tactical Grey.
(1) Wetfire Tinder Camp Stove:
An ultralight, all-purpose stove that weighs less than half an ounce. One cube of WetFire tinder placed on the stove platform will boil a cup of water in 5 to 6 minutes!
Works with a variety of off-the-shelf metal camp cups, or found metal containers.
Developed for military personnel, WetFire Tinder is the best fire-starting tinder material available anywhere in the world. It is individually packaged in a lightweight solid cube form that cant leak or foul up your other gear. It leaves none of the residue of inferior petroleum-based products and is non-toxic.
The cubes burn without smoke and can be started even in high winds and nasty weather. In fact, the tinder burns while floating in water.
WetFire Tinder burns at over 1300 degrees yet cools almost instantly when snuffed out. A small pile of shavings is enough to start a campfire, or warming/drying of other fuel.
This is the fuel the Wetfire Tinder Camp Stove was designed for, and one cube fits squarely in the stoves fire pan.
