SOL Heatsheet Two Person Survival Blanket - Dry Flex Pouch (#SM0140-07012p)

Now, this Two Person Survival Blanket comes contained in a re-sealable Dry Flex Carry Pouch for protection and high visibility! Our suggestion is to carry two -- one to wrap up in, and one to provide overhead cover. They are so compact, you will not notice them at all -- but when you need them, they could save your life!

  • 20% Larger than competitive products! Survival and first-aid instructions are printed directly on the blanket - so you will have them when you need them.
  • Features BRIGHT ORANGE outer skin ... an easy to spot universal distress color for rescue.
  • Reflects up to 90% of radiated body heat.
  • Easy to open and fold.
  • Quiet! Far quieter than traditional "space blankets".
  • Tear Resistant - made from Metalized Polyethylene, this Two Person survival blanket is highly durable and will not tear like competitive products.
  • Flat shape makes it easy to pack.
  • This 3.2 ounce life insurance policy opens to 60" x 96", and is large enough for two people. Can also be used to construct emergency survival shelter.
  • Pack one in your survival kit, emergency kit, glove box, buttpack, travel kit, etc.
  • Carry two: one for you and your partner, and one to provide overhead cover from the elements!

    Survival and Emergency Preparedness Tip:
You can use the "Shadow Tip Method" to determine direction:
  • Everywhere on Earth, the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. This method will work wherever you are.
  • First, find a straight stick about 3 feet (1 meter) in length.
  • Find a level, clear spot on the ground, so that a good, defined shadow can be cast.
  • Push the stick into the ground so that it stands upright. It does not need to be perfectly vertical to the ground.
  • Mark the tip of the shadow on the ground cast by the stick with a rock, or by marking the ground.
  • Wait until the shadow moves 1.5 to 2 inches (this will take about 10-15 minutes).
  • Mark the tip of the second shadow on the ground cast by the stick with a rock, or by marking the ground.
  • Draw a line from the first mark through and about a foot beyond the second mark.
  • Stand with your left foot on the first mark, and your right foot on the end of the line you drew.
  • If you are in the northern temperate zone, you will be facing north.
  • If you are in the southern temperate zone, you will be facing south.
  • Survival and Emergency Preparedness Tips can be found on all the product pages on this site.
